Student Government Scholarship
Student Government Scholarship Application Period
The Student Government Scholarship application will open on February 1, 2024, and close on March 25, 2024 and to be awarded for the fall and spring semesters of the 2024-2025 academic year. To apply, please sign-in to the Bobcat Online Scholarship System (BOSS). Other scholarship applications can be accessed on BOSS as well. HOW TO GET TO THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP:
Upon logging into Bobcat Online Scholarship System (BOSS), students will see open scholarships that they are eligible to apply for.*
- Click the Opportunity Tab.
- Click Recommended Scholarships.
- Click Student Government Scholarship and apply.
* You are encouraged to apply for the Recommended Scholarships (that have an Apply button) under the Opportunities tab. While you may appear initially eligible for a scholarship, your actual eligibility will be based on your answers to the supplemental questions for that scholarship.
Student Government Scholarship Criteria
All eligible Texas State students may apply.
UNDERGRADUATE CRITERIA
(a) Is classified as a sophomore, junior, or senior.
(b) Is considered a full time student by Texas State University according to their degree program.
(c) Have a minimum 2.50 Texas State GPA.
(d) Have attended Texas State University for two long semesters prior to applying for the scholarship.
(e) Not receive any need-based grants. Loans, scholarships, and work study are forms of financial aid that applicants may be receiving.
(f) Submit a resume and write a 400 word essay.
(g) Be a member in social or academic organization.
GRADUATE CRITERIA
(a) Must be enrolled as a full time graduate student as defined by Texas State University or graduate degree program.
(b) Have a minimum 3.0 Texas State GPA.
(c) Submit a resume and write a 400 word essay.
(d) Preference shall be given to those graduate students who are members of academic or social organizations, but failure to have such membership shall not automatically disqualify an applicant.
(e) Not receive any need based grants. Loans, scholarships and work study are forms of financial aid that applicants may be receiving.
