Student Senate
The Senate represents all students at Texas State University through its power to pass proposals called legislation. This legislation serves to represent the student body to the university administration.
The Senate is composed of elected student representatives. The senators serve one-year and two-year terms in the senate. Half of the seats are up for election each academic year. The represented colleges of the senate are McCoy, Fine Arts and Communications, Liberal Arts, Applied Arts, Health Professions, Science and Engineering, Education, University, and At-Large.
